How to allow non-windows executables to run without prompting when elevation of privilege is required for users who are member of administrators group but not the built-in administator user

run gpedit.msc -> Computer configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options

ensure that the policies are set as follows

User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode = "Enabled"

User Account Control: Behaviour of the elevation prompt for Administrators in Admin Approval Mode" = "Elevate without prompting"
